The 15-day Sanborn Junior program provides outdoor experiences and challenges appropriate for younger campers. Boys who attend Sanborn Junior live in a bunkhouse at Big Spring while girls live in a cabin at High Trails. Junior campers participate in a wide variety of outdoor activities with their own counselors and cabinmates. They join older campers in the lodges for meals and participate with the entire camp community in special events and many evening programs.
Junior Camp Staff
Staff members are enthusiastic, dedicated and committed to helping children grow in the out-of-doors. The counselors for Sanborn Junior are college students or recent graduates selected specifically for their ability to work with younger campers. A staff-to-camper ratio of 1 to 4 creates an environment rich in individual guidance and personal attention.
