Isabel Willems(Left)

Hi, I’m Isabel (or Izzy – whichever you prefer)! I’m a student at Louisiana State University studying communication studies, with minors in Spanish and criminology. Outside of school, I love to get outside, sometimes accompanied by my three dogs (who are varying degrees of disaster, and who I all love very much). I’m excited to get to know my campers and help make their summer a magical one!

Justine Marsac(Right)

Hello friends! My name is Justine and I currently live in my hometown of Kansas City, Missouri. (Go Chiefs!!) I have spent the last few years swinging through the trees as an Outdoor Adventure Guide at a ropes course and zipline park here in KC! As much as I love my city, I’m ready to get out and find a new adventure in the mountains. This will be my first summer working as a counselor for Sanborn Junior Camp and I could not be more excited! Along with my passion for nature and the outdoors, I am a singer and musician at heart. In my free time you will probably find me at local music venues, making playlists, or dancing and singing with my friends. So I knew I had to have my radio and CDs packed for a summer of spontaneous dance parties in the cabin! I think what I am most looking forward to is sitting around the campfire, looking at the stars, eating s’mores, and maybe singing a couple campfire songs :)

Taylor Walker(Right)

Hi! I’m Taylor! This will be my first summer at Sanborn Camps, but I went to day camp in middle school, so I am excited to join the camp family again. I will be graduating from Boston University in May 2024, where I studied Marine Science, French Studies, and Cinema and Media Studies. Outside of school, I love to work out (swimming, running, strength training), read books, watch movies, and hang out with my family and friends. A couple of fun facts are I have been an extra in a movie before (It was the coolest experience!), and I can do splits due to 15 years of dancing. This summer at camp, I am excited to spend quality time in the Colorado outdoors with everyone!

Chelsea Asch(Middle)

Hello, I’m Chelsea!! I am so excited because it is my first summer at Sanborn! I currently go to school at Boise State in Idaho, but I am from Arizona. Over at Boise I am studying art and ASL interpreting - with hopes to work with deaf communities and encourage different kinds of art making! If you couldn’t tell, I love art (making and viewing it). I try to spend as much time as possible outside taking in the beauty of my surroundings. A little fun fact about me is that I spent last summer working as a zipline guide in Alaska! I am very excited for this summer so I can meet new people and provide a safe environment for campers to learn and have fun!

Taylor Grace(Left)

Hey y’all, my name is Taylor Grace and this will be my first summer at Sanborn! I am so excited for camp to start soon! I am currently taking a break from college, but want to continue school for Nursing. I hope to one day work as a Pediatric Nurse in an amazing Children’s Hospital with a degree from Valdosta State University, or wherever my heart decides to take me! I am so excited to climb some mountains, and just make some wonderful memories with some wonderful people! A couple of fun facts about me are: . I love all things disney, but Stitch from Lilo and Stitch has my whole heart, which is why you’ll be seeing me wear his Onesie a lot this summer. . I love all animals, but I have to say my Giant schnoodle puppy, Oakley, is my favorite animal by far. Him and all his personal space issues. . You’re going to see me with a ton of bracelets on my arms at all times, and even a couple of anklets on both feet as well. I love to just keep adding to my collection. I tend to keep them on until they break, and then I just replace them as I go along. All together I’d say I just have a big personality and I like to have a fun time, and I look forward to making this summer the best one you’ll ever have!!

As far as fun facts go, I am lucky to have family in Colorado; so though I’m from Indiana, I have experience hiking around Colorado and Utah! I was in show choir and did theater all throughout high school, so singing is probably what I would coin my “thing” (though, I’m no Broadway talent, haha!). Another fun fact is that my favorite flavor of Ben and Jerry’s is Phish Food (the best… hands down!) I’m most ready for all the happy memories I’ll get to make with the campers and the rest of the staff, as well as going on plenty of outdoor excursions. I cannot wait to see you all this summer!

Jenny Rohrer(Right)

Hi everyone, my name is Jenny Rohrer and I’m super excited for camp to start! Here’s a bit about me. After spending my entire life in Arkansas, I made the move out to Maryland after college graduation from Arkansas State University. With a Bachelors in Wildlife Conservation, I took a chance moving across the country and had a BLAST working for Maryland Conservation Corps through AmeriCorps and then as a Ranger in Maryland Park Service. I grew up going to a small camp and worked as a counselor there as well. I am no stranger to camp settings, but I am a stranger to Sanborn. I’m super excited to be taking another leap of faith moving out to Colorado for a while and working at camp. A few details about me: I’m the youngest of three kids, I love anything and everything to do with the outdoors from fishing, boating, and camping to a simple backyard barbeque, and someone once described me as a “fun printed button down” as a challenge to describe someone using inanimate objects. This summer I am mostly looking forward to the opportunity to backpack and learn new skills alongside campers such as mountain biking.

Hi everyone! I’m Gabby :) I first worked at High Trails during the summer of 2021 as a counselor in Gold Hut, and I could not be more excited to spend another summer at Sanborn– this time as ridge leader for the juniors! I graduated from Arizona State University in May of 2023 with degrees in Biomedical Science and Global Health, and since then have been exploring life and learning about how I want to show up in the world :) I worked this past winter as a Children’s Ski Instructor in Telluride, CO, and absolutely loved it, so I’m super happy to be spending more time in the mountains under the sun and stars, helping foster a sense of wonder! A couple fun facts about me: I was an Irish dancer for 10 years, I’m the oldest of five kids, I’m left handed, chocolate milk is my faaaavorite drink ever, and I don’t like most fruits! Some things I’m looking forward to most about camp are river all-days, cowgirl camp, meeting lots of new friends, and watching campers fall in love with the outdoors and discover new passions. Can’t wait to meet you all soon!

I love cats, walking, trivia, and helping kids find their spark in nature. Can’t wait for this season!

The summer of 2022, I moved to Glacier National Park in Montana and grew a passion for hiking, so I’m super stoked to be out west for a summer again and get to hike more. This past summer I lived in the Outerbanks in North Carolina and worked as a kayak guide. I learned to surf and spent all my time on the water, both work and free time. I loved it, but I’m more happy to be land-locked, and I’ve always had Colorado on my bucket list. I’m graduating from nursing school this spring, and my eventual goal is to become a critical care flight nurse.
